Abstract


Fuoridated hydroxyapatite (FHA) coatings were deposited on 316L stainless steel substrates using an electrochemical technique. Different concentrations of F - ions were incorporated into the apatite structure by adding NaF into the electrolyte. The coatings were uniform and dense, with a thickness from 6.07 to 9.58 µm when the F- concentration increased from 0 to 0.003 M. Results analysis of IR, EDX, X-ray and SEM showed that F- ions doped on HAP with volume percentage of 1.7% when the concentration of F- added to 0.002M, FHAp coating has structurerod-shaped crystals with size of about 100 nm and characterize the molecular structure FHAp.
